The Academy is seeking a part time or full-time Spanish teacher committed to delivering a high level engaging curriculum so that students develop strong foundational language skills that support their continued language acquisition in high school and beyond.

Qualifications:
- Fluently speak read and write in Spanish
- Single Subject Credential Internship credential or Similar Certification Required
- Preferred qualifications but not necessary:
- Native Spanish speaker
- Clear credential
- 2 or more years Teaching Experience
- Classroom Experience and Strong Classroom Management
Responsibilities:
- Teach 4 sections of Middle School Spanish (6 - 8)
- Teach 1 section of Middle School literacy program through teaching (6 -8)
- Support ELPAC testing and planning with ES/MS Academic Dean
- Collaborate with Middle School electives teachers in planning and implementing AoAs 6th grade elective wheel.
- Lead one advisory section that helps supports students with social emotional learning and executive functioning skills and assume roles and responsibilities as an advisor
- Attend weekly professional development
Compensation and Benefits: Compensation is competitive and based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and participate in California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS).
