Certifications Licenses or Registration Required:
Medical Radiologic Technologist license from the Mississippi State Department of Health. Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required post-hire within 90 days. Nuclear Medical Technology (N) from American Registry Of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of radiopharmacy nuclear medicine instrumentation and radiation safety. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to operate scintillation detection and other ancillary equipment. Ability to alleviate patient anxiety. Ability to ensure compliance with workplace safety environmental exposure control and /or infection control practices.
