The Continuous Improvement Project Manager plays a handson leadership role working directly on the workshop floor and across operational sites to drive LEAN quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

By actively engaging with technicians supervisors and operational teams this role identifies waste optimises processes and leads practical improvement activities that enhance efficiency reduce lead times and strengthen customer outcomes.

The position combines strategic improvement planning with daytoday ontheground problem solving to embed a strong continuous improvement culture across the West Region.

What youll do

  • Lead and facilitate kaizen events LEAN activities and continuous improvement workshops across all operational areas.

  • Deliver continuous improvement and LEAN training to individuals and teams maintaining training plans and competency records.

  • Understand and contribute to CAPEX requests and value propositions supporting financial decision-making related to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with workshop employees managers and internal stakeholders to analyze workflows identify waste and implement process improvements that reduce product lead time improve efficiency and enhance customer on-time delivery (OTD).

  • Actively engage on the shop floor observing workflows and implementing practical solutions such as facility modifications or process changes to optimize operations.

  • Maintain accurate dashboards KPI tracking and reporting to monitor improvement progress using quality and compliance audit data to identify priorities and support implementation of the WINS operating model.

Must-haves

  • 5 years experience in a continuous improvement or similar role with strong knowledge of engineering principles manufacturing methodologies (Agile Lean 5S) and quality management systems.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly convey instructions and influence internal stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Microsoft Projects.

  • Understanding of financials related to CAPEX and operational cost management.

  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills using tools like 8D 5 Why and Ishikawa diagrams with a hands-on approach to workflow analysis and improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or knowledge in construction and/or manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.

  • Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation and a proactive mindset.

  • Ability to engage directly with operational teams observe processes and lead improvements in realtime environments
