Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Drive the development of the global technology roadmap and manage product lifecycles.
- Assume technical ownership of complex design engineering projects and challenging problems.
- Develop and implement advanced design methodologies procedures and tools to improve efficiency.
- Lead creation and execution of product testing strategies tools and processes.
- Manage troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues effectively.
- Conduct product risk assessments and DFMEA implementing actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare patents and technical papers for conferences and technical publications.
- Mentor and guide engineers fostering technical growth and providing expert support.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders representing the Technology Group in key engagements.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical Engineer
- At least 10 - 15 years working experience in similar role in mineral processing equipment and systems.
- Have a proven ability to carry out engineering and develop related deliverables such as technical specifications test plans requests for quote technical reports etc.
- Advanced knowledge in FEA and ANSYS software
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or other 3D modelling software
- Advanced knowledge in high-cycle fatigue specifically in welded steel structures.
