About the Role
The Senior Associate supports the delivery of strategic communications and public affairs programmes across a range of client accounts. The role involves policy monitoring stakeholder engagement drafting of strategic materials and contributing to campaign execution. This is a client-facing role within a fast-paced consultancy environment.
Principal Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of strategic communications and public affairs programmes for clients including stakeholder engagement policy monitoring media outreach and campaign execution.
Develop a strong understanding of clients industries regulatory environments and policy landscapes in order to support effective communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Support business development efforts including drafting proposals preparing pitch materials and identifying opportunities with corporate government and institutional stakeholders.
General Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients acting as a reliable and responsive member of the account team.
Draft high-quality written materials including briefing notes stakeholder updates reports talking points media materials and internal strategy documents.
Monitor political regulatory and media developments relevant to client sectors and provide clear and timely analysis to both clients and internal teams.
Contribute to the development of proposals pitch materials and other business development initiatives.
Support and where appropriate supervise interns helping them develop their research writing and professional skills.
Manage workload effectively across multiple accounts communicating clearly with senior team members on priorities and deadlines.
Maintain accurate timesheets and complete administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
Demonstrate curiosity about current affairs policy and industry trends and actively contribute ideas that strengthen client strategies and team performance.
About You
You will ideally have experience in communications public affairs government journalism consultancy or a related field. You are keen to deepen your expertise in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced advisory environment. You should have the ambition and grit to succeed and demonstrate:
Excellent English language communication skills both written and spoken.
Proficiency in another Asian language is favourable but not required.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate high-quality work.
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and supporting client-facing engagements.
Strong interest in politics policy business and current affairs with the ability to identify developments that may impact clients.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
A collaborative mindset and willingness to support junior team members.
Initiative and ownership of tasks with the judgement to escalate issues when needed.
A strong work ethic and desire to continuously improve your skills.
