Position Overview
Episcopal independent school committed to academic excellence spiritual formation and inclusive community seeks an experienced and mission-aligned Project Manager to oversee and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across the school.
The Project Manager ensures that strategic operational academic and facilities-related projects are delivered on time within scope and aligned with the schools mission and Episcopal values. This role requires strong collaboration skills organizational excellence and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Lead the planning implementation and completion of school-wide projects (e.g. campus improvements technology upgrades accreditation processes curriculum initiatives events).
Define project scope goals deliverables timelines and resource requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with academic leaders facilities advancement admissions finance and IT teams to support project goals.
Facilitate meetings track action items and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.
Serve as liaison between internal departments and external vendors or contractors.
Budget & Resource Management
Assist in developing project budgets and monitor expenditures.
Track and report financial performance related to projects.
Ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure projects comply with school policies safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Support accreditation governance or strategic plan implementation initiatives as assigned.
Reporting & Documentation
Provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
Maintain thorough documentation of project plans timelines and outcomes.
Develop post-project evaluations to improve future processes.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in Business Project Management Education Administration or related field.
3 years of project management experience (education or nonprofit setting preferred).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Asana Microsoft Project Smartsheet).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated respect for and willingness to support the mission and values of an Episcopal school.
Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credential.
Experience in independent schools or faith-based organizations.
Familiarity with accreditation processes (e.g. SAIS NAIS regional accrediting bodies).
