Job Summary

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

Experience: 1 years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program

Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area. BLS Basic Life Support

Other Skills & Knowledge:

IV Insertion

Technical skill in medical scanning understanding of cross sectional anatomy and 3-D knowledge.

Working Conditions Mental and Physical Requirements:

Manipulating equipment lifting moving and transporting patients.

Continual standing or walking.

Adapt to stressful situations.

Equipment Used:

Should be proficient in the use of MRI Scanners Power Injectors workstations and Computers.

Preferred Education: Bachelor degree
