Summary

Work includes assignment set up of glass lathe and cleaning of equipment daily. Works from blueprints and routers to perform production tasks which includes the cutting and shaping of glass to specific dimensions. Checks and inspects operations against specified tolerances with certain tools. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.

Job Description

Experience Level with Business Tools

Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP/MES or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Familiar with 6S.

Typical Education and Experience

High School Degree or equivalent
2 years of related experience

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

Sedentary work that will occasionally require employee to lift/move up to 5lbs. and occasionally lift more than 10lbs. to greater than 15lbs.
Lifting carrying pushing pulling or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies occasionally.
Reaching above the shoulder occasionally.
Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools frequently.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) handle long periods of sitting.
Work environments includes open flame and repetitive motion (exposure to chemicals electrical current proximity to moving mechanical parts repetitive hand motion open flame working from heights cold environment hot environment uneven surface fumes).
