Physical Education Teacher (Anticipated 0.5 FTE) Needed

Location:Allen Brook School / 2026-2027 School Year

Are you a high-energy educator who loves helping young children discover the joy of movement Champlain Valley School District has an opening for a dynamic 0.5 FTE Physical Education Teacher for the2026-2027 academic year at the Allen Brook School (PreK-2). This will be a 5 day a week position.

A successful candidate is likely to possess the following qualifications:

Licensed in Vermont for K-12 physical education
A team player who is flexible collaborative and capable of team teaching
Strong background in planning implementing and assessing standards based curriculum
Have a strong knowledge of the SHAPE America National Standards and Physical/Health Literacy
Ability and desire to integrate physical education and health through a variety of activities and units throughout the day
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to motivate each student to cultivate physical fitness wellness and the appreciation of lifelong enjoyment of physical activity in order to make healthy choices throughout their lives
Interest with implementing adapted PE in collaboration with PT / OT and Special Educators
Strong leadership and communication skills
