The Town of Cohasset is seekingafull-time Summer Program Nurse in the Recreation Department.Reporting to the Towns Public Health Nurse and Recreation Director therecreationprogramnurse is a seasonal position available at ourCohassetrecreationsummerplaygroundcampuslocatedin Cohasset MA. Our caring and enthusiastic nurse is the health manager for Cohassetrecreationand oversees health and cleanliness standards.

Monday June 29ththrough Friday August 7
Session 1 June 29ththrough July 17th Mon-Fri
Session 2 July 20ththrough August 7th Mon-Fri
Orientation Mandatory week of June 22nd
Description of Responsibilities:
Oversees the health and wellness of 400-500 campers each day (ages 5 to 14/ co-ed) and up to 100 staff members and volunteers. Reviews all camper/staffmedical information including age-appropriate immunization requirements according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.Communicates with parents/guardians concerning any health issues and oversees any specificsituations. AdministerEPI-Pen training management and proper storage.Reviews and recommends the purchase and storage of first aid supplies and equipment.Reviewsdaily first aid/injury reports andcommunicateswith parents if necessary.
Requirements:
LPN RN or RN with BSN. Experience with children and young adults isrequiredcamp experienceispreferred. Ability to originate update and/ormonitorhealth caremaintainrecords and implement the health care plan is.The abilityto provideguidancesupervisionand engage with childrenenthusiasticallyis. The ability toassistcampers inemergencies including fire evacuation illnessorinjuryis. Good character integrityand adaptability are necessary.The desire to work in a recreational community is essential.
Current CPR AEDand First Aid certifications
2 to 3 years of nursing experience working with children
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Provide proof of current license and professional nurses malpractice insurance
