We are a mission focused organization providing compassionate and professional medical dental psychiatry mental health and wraparound services for those in our community who need it most - uninsured individuals families the homeless and migrant workers.


MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Location: West Salem Clinic1233 Edgewater St. NW Salem OR 97304

Job Status: Full-time Monday - Fridays with rotating Saturdays

Limited Duration: Six months


POSITION OVERVIEW:

As our friendly courteous and professional Medical Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for patients clients and all others that visit our clinic. You will check patients in for appointments collect copays and fees and accurately record insurance information and verify patient demographic information in the Electronic Health Record software. You will effectively communicate with medical assistants providers and patients regarding delays or wait times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain and prepare patient records encounter forms and other paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Perform a variety of office duties including but not limited to printing daily schedules photocopying typing faxing routing received faxes to appropriate persons maintaining office equipment as needed and preparing the mail to go out.
  • Assist in rearranging providers schedule when called away from the clinic is ill or has a change of schedule.
  • Provide phone coverage as needed following protocols from call center. Schedule appointments.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred.
  • Interact effectively and courteously with patients and staff.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
