Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Development: Support the development and optimization of core platform infrastructure including cloud resources networking components and storage solutions.

• Automation and Scripting: Contribute to automating routine tasks using scripting languages to enhance system administration efficiency and reliability.

• Monitoring and Performance: Assist in monitoring platform performance diagnosing issues and troubleshooting incidents to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Security: Aid in implementing security best practices for cloud infrastructure including patch management access controls and vulnerability assessments.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on configurations processes and troubleshooting steps to support platform management.

• Collaboration: Collaboration: Join in on projects with engineers and architects to gain insight into real-world DevOps practices application deployments scaling and day-to-day maintenance.

• Continuous Improvement: Engage in problem-solving and root-cause analysis contributing to the continuous improvement of platform reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related technical field.

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and an interest in system administration.

• Familiarity with one or more cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or Google Cloud).

• Some experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) and an eagerness to learn automation practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Passion for cloud technologies and a desire to grow in a dynamic engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship coursework or project experience in platform engineering system administration or DevOps.

• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g. Git).

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
