Qualifications:
Education: - High School Diploma or GED
- MA Certification (preferred)
Experience: - Minimum 1 to 2 years working as a Medical Assistant in a medical practice.
- Experience in general pediatrics (a plus)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Specific: - Perform duties under supervision of physician or physician assistant.
- Maintain our in office lab run all Point Of Care tests Run controls Document all test and results prepare samples to transport to lab unpack and organize all delivered lab supplies bring results to attention of treating provider as soon as available.
- Interact well with young children and their families.
- Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms.
- Escort patients to exam rooms interviews patients measure vital signs includingweight blood pressure pulse temperature and document all information in patientschart.
- Ensure all related reports labs and information is filed is available in patientsmedical records prior to their appointment.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies maintain instruments prepare sterilization as required.
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures emergency medications expired medications oxygen cold sterilization fluid change etc.)
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills including composure diplomacy and theability to act with a diverse patient population.
- Manage confidential employee information in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effectively time-manage job responsibilities; Organize workflow anddocumentation.
- Responds to medical emergencies and solicits immediately.
- Other duties assigned by Practice and Clinical area.
General: - Serve as brand representative for FPA by embracing the Company culture and mission statement core values and standards of conduct.
