ACivil Engineer IVperforms professional engineering work in the design construction maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects.

What You Will Do

General duties include but are not limited to:

Designing structures such as reservoirs retaining walls bridges culverts tunnels pipelines sewers sidewalks highways etc
Preparing designs plans specifications estimates and reports
Supervising construction and inspection activities
Reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications of buildings and structures

Three (3) vacancies with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply Capital Projects Division Construction Branch
Two (2) vacancies in theDepartment of Environmental Services Wastewater Engineering & Construction Division

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in an engineering specialty.

Education Verification: Education information must be listed clearly on your application. As part of the hiring process you may be asked to furnish documentation to verify your education to move forward for further consideration.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:

Possession of an appropriate valid drivers license as required.
Possession of avalid license as a professional Civil Engineer in the State of Hawaii.

NOTE: Applicants with a current out-of-state professional Civil Engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
