We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Hotel Accountant to support the financial operations of Lincoln Hotel this key role you will assist the CFO with core accounting functions ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance in daily financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong accounts payable and reconciliation experience who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage hotel accounts payable including invoice processing vendor payments and maintaining accurate vendor records.
Perform data entry for accounting transactions and ensure data integrity across financial systems.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Process management fees accounting fees and related payments according to established schedules and agreements.
Handle intercompany billing invoicing and reconciliations between related entities.
Assist with insurance audits including gathering documentation responding to inquiries and maintaining compliance records.
Support special projects and initiatives as delegated by the Controller and CFO including process improvements and ad-hoc analyses.
Collaborate with the broader finance team to support month-end close activities and maintain strong internal controls.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (preferred).
25 years of relevant accounting experience ideally in hospitality hotels or a similar service industry.
Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUPs etc.) and accounting software; experience with hotel systems (e.g. Opera PMS Micros or similar) is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Knowledge of GAAP and basic financial reporting principles.
