Oncology Data Specialist - Certification (REQUIRED)Schedule: Remote / Full-Time
The Oncology Data Abstraction Specialist plays a vital role in gathering and interpreting oncology-specific clinical data from diverse sources to support clinical research enhance patient outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives. This position demands precision in data abstraction rigorous validation processes and accurate documentation to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold the integrity of oncology datasets.
Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 2 years of experience in data abstraction.
Certification: Certification in Cancer Registry ODS-C (Oncology Data Specialist).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Preferably abstracting experience in an oncology or healthcare setting.
Other Skills Knowledge Abilities:
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and data abstraction tools.
Experience with Oncology Data software applications such as: METRIQ.
Strong understanding of oncology terminology and clinical workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare data (e.g. HIPAA).
