Job Summary
Pay: $55-$58/hr Type: Contract Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an urgent backfill position in a hospital acute care setting. The therapist will provide respiratory care to patients ranging from neonates to adults including acutely ill patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.
The ideal candidate must have pediatric experience and be comfortable managing critical respiratory cases in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Assess treat and monitor patients with respiratory disorders
Manage ventilators and advanced airway equipment
Provide respiratory care to neonatal pediatric and adult patients
Respond to respiratory emergencies and code situations
Administer respiratory medications and therapies
Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EHR
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with hospital safety and infection control standards
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
NBRC Certification Required
Licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision (Respiratory Care) Required
Minimum 6 months of recent Respiratory Therapy experience Required
Pediatric experience Required
AHA BLS ACLS and PALS Required
NRP Certification Required
Experience with Cerner charting Highly Desired
Neonates
Pediatric patients
Adult patients
Acutely ill patients with diverse respiratory and medical conditions
Strong critical care and ventilator management skills
Comfortable working night shifts
Experience in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care
Team-oriented and responsive in emergency situations
Efficient with electronic documentation
