Who Were Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
- Gifted Endorsement/Certification (Required)
- Minimum five (5) years of successful classroom teaching
- Demonstrated success in project-based student-centered or immersive learning environments
- Familiarity with tools and approaches such as design thinking studio learning Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Unity game engine and/or other AR/VR platforms
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience designing interdisciplinary units that incorporate student voice and real-world relevance.
- Capacity to integrate technology and media to amplify learning (e.g. podcasting video storytelling digital fabrication eSports).
- Demonstrated success in project-based student-centered or immersive learning
- Commitment to continuous growth creativity and collaborative

The Gifted Experience & Design Specialist serves as a strategic learning architect. Working exclusively with Instructional Experience Designers and Gifted-certified teachers this role exists to enhance teacher effectiveness and ignite student curiosity by facilitating the implementation of evidence-based instructional strategies aligning rigorous curriculum and driving continuous school improvement. By blending gifted pedagogy with advanced design thinking you help architect deeply personalized interdisciplinary experiences that unlock the unique potential of every gifted learner.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Interdisciplinary Design & Personalization
- Partner exclusively with Instructional Experience Designers to co-design interdisciplinary standards-aligned experiences rooted in student
- Facilitate the creation of personalized learning paths that encourage choice autonomy and intellectual development for gifted
- Leverage learning studios (e.g. Story & Stream Maker & Motion) to connect literacy STEM and the arts through authentic
- Ensure all experiences are culturally relevant and responsive to the intense emotional and cognitive needs of gifted students.
Data-Driven Achievement & Iteration
Collaborate with designers and teachers to analyze student performance data and identify trends to inform high-level instructional
Use data and formative assessments to personalize and iterate experiences for maximum
Support the development and implementation of enrichment and intervention plans to address specific achievement gaps or gifted
Actively monitor and document student cognitive and social-emotional development to support asynchronous
Strategic Instructional Partnership
Model effective direct and systematic instructional techniques specifically for gifted-certified
Participate in studio-based design sprints to prototype and refine learning models that shift the focus from content delivery to experience
Guide teachers in developing short- and long-term instructional goals through formal coaching cycles and reflective
Leadership & Program Coordination
Serve as a liaison between gifted-certified staff and administration to ensure alignment of campus and district
Revise and update the Gifted Education Scope & Sequence based on evaluation results and latest
Communicate program expectations and results to the school board administration and community.
