Description

As aSenior Manager of Technical Accounting & Policyhere at Honeywell you will hold a critical leadership position within our finance team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting compliance with accounting policies and regulations and driving the financial close processes.

You will report directly to ourSr Director of Technical Accounting & Policyand youll work out of ourPhoenix AZlocation on aHybridwork schedule.

In this role you will impact the financial health of the organization by providing valuable recommendations and guidance to senior management for strategic decision-making. Your expertise in financial analysis and insights will be instrumental in driving process improvements and efficiency in financial operations.



Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and lead the controllership function for specific technical accounting subject matter areas.
  • Lead various policy implementation and assessment activities for major initiatives including the adoption of future accounting guidance.
  • Assist with critical transaction analysis across commercial legal and external reporting stakeholder groups.
  • Drive the financial close processes relevant to the corporate organization and other central functions.
  • Ensure applicable internal controls are adhered to and assist in control remediation and analysis of other internal groups.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or controllership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
