The Upper School English Teacher as a member of the English Department will teach four sections of English and serve as an Upper School advisor.
The Upper School English program emphasizes reading writing speaking and thinking with clarity and depth. The curriculum encompasses global classics and contemporary works promoting critical and creative thinking through various activities. Writing is taught as a process focusing on brainstorming drafting and revising. By graduation students will be proficient in multiple genres including analytical personal and persuasive essays and creative writing. They will acquire essential grammatical and rhetorical skills for diverse audiences.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors Masters or Doctorate in English or other field of literary studies
Minimum 3 years experience teaching literature at the high school or college level
Experience teaching grades 8-12 English language literacy and writing
The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. The range is $75000-$135000.
