Arise/EFR is looking for a Fiscal Intermediary Manager - Syracuse location
Position Summary: Serves as a Manager to supervise train and support the Fiscal Intermediary team. Ensures services and documentation meet required billing regulations and ensures that quality services are provided to people receiving Self-Direction services. Assists Self-Direction participants and their Planning Teams to manage their staffing and service documentation. Responsible for reviewing service documentation and onboarding new DSPs families and Brokers. Oversees payroll and expenses for DSPs and individuals served.
Job Summary:
- Oversee and assist with the recruitment hiring training and supervision of DSPs and Fiscal Intermediary staff
- Train support and coach Fiscal Intermediary staff to effectively perform all assigned job duties and responsibilities required
- Approve rollover SD budgets in eVero monthly as needed
- Review LifePlans for accurate service documentation attend (in person or by phone) LifePlan and Launch meetings
- Review and approve Staff Action Plans and Safeguards
- Review and Approve Budgets and Amendments then submit to OPWDD
- Approve in eVero OPWDD budgets approved by OPWDD
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year experience as a Self-Direction Fiscal Intermediary or Support Broker
- Three (3) or more years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities required
- Ability to interact professionally with all stake holders including individuals families parents Direct Support Professionals agencies and businesses
- Ability to identify and execute outreach and marketing strategies
- Familiarity with OPWDD requirements and oversight of Self-Direction services required
- A bachelors degree in a human services or related field required
- Background in Supervising Staff Administration or Management preferred
- Understanding of computer software essential experience using the eVero platform a plus!
Ability to travel to various locations including community sites and family homes

Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations; ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers families and the general public. Must have strong data entry skills excellent proof-reading ability and meticulous attention to detail.

Work location: Syracuse - Onondaga County for in-person meetings
Hours and days: Monday-Friday 8:00am -4:00pm
Compensation: $24.93 -$27.82 per hour
Non -Exempt
40 hours per week including one-hour paid lunch
Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
