Marketing & Communications Specialist at Canopy
The Marketing & Communications Specialist at Canopy is an individual contributor role focused on executing approved marketing and communications activities in support of Canopy Mental Health & Consulting (MHC) and limited communications needs for its sister organization Canopy Roots. This role emphasizes implementation coordination and day-to-day delivery rather than strategy ownership people management or community engagement leadership. This role works with internal stakeholders to implement approved campaigns and materials to ensure consistent impactful messaging across channels. Responsibilities include content creation campaign execution basic performance reporting and analysis website and social media maintenance.

Location: Minneapolis MN or Remote
Hiring rate: $60000 to $70000 commensurate with experience
Hours/Day: Monday-Friday 40 hours a week including evenings and weekends when necessary. (Most work falls roughly between the hours of (9:00am-5:00pm)

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Marketing & campaign execution
- Execute approved marketing campaigns across email social media website and paid channels in collaboration with Clinical Program leadership.
- Draft and publish approved marketing content - e.g. blogs social media posts sales materials webinars email communications sales materials.
- Track and report on basic campaign performance metrics using existing tools and dashboards and report KPIs to optimize results in collaboration with external advertisement contractors.
- Support lead generation efforts and nurture existing customer relationships in collaboration with the Clinical Program leadership and Business Operations teams.
- Content design and website management
- Help maintain brand consistency across all communication touchpoints.
- Maintain and update the Canopy Mental Health & Consulting and Canopy Roots websites including content updates landing pages and basic SEO hygiene.
- Create and adapt basic visual assets (e.g. social media graphics flyers slide decks and simple digital materials) using existing templates and brand guidelines
- Communications support for programs
- Support media inquiries or public communications requests by routing and preparing materials in collaboration with Canopy leadership
Skills & Qualifications
- Associates degree in Marketing Communications Business or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Equivalent experience may include hands-on work in digital marketing paid advertising website management content creation or analytics.
- 24 years of experience in marketing communications or digital content execution. Experience in mission-driven organizations preferred..
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and analytics (e.g. Google Analytics CRM ad managers email platforms).
- Experience using design tools such as Canva Adobe Express or similar platforms for basic marketing materials
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment while being a self-starter.
- Able to effectively coordinate in a cross-functional work environment
