About the role:The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician reports to the Director of Public Works and is responsible for data input collection and maintenance product generation analysis & development/documentation for the GIS associated with infrastructure within the Municipality of Colchester. This role utilizes ESRI ArcGIS software to input retrieve manipulate and display data for water sewer road and sidewalk infrastructure and supports internal and external requests for information. They support initiatives to implement GIS based approaches to best manage share and track infrastructure information. This is a permanent full-time position.
Salary Range: Range 4 $63656- $75667

- Experience using computerized office applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Education & experience required:
- Post-secondary education in Geographic Information Systems or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience using ESRI or similar GIS software in a design and development environment
- Experience with a variety of GIS data formats
- Well versed in computer applications such as Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook. Experience with AutoCAD an with GNSS survey data and equipment an asset
