Job Summary
The Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) represents a key collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Supported by the Singapore RIE2025 Fund ANGEL creates and deploys impactful green digital technologies for global sustainability.

We are looking for aResearch Scientist to help promote urban textile recycling and hence reduce negative environmental impacts caused by the clothing industry. The role will focus on finding useful nudging strategies to promote individual textile recycling behavior in sustainable finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Review relevant literature for the topic
Design Difference-in-Difference experiments to test nudging strategies
Control confounding factors that indirectly affect experimental results
Analyze test outcomes using econometric tools
Provide recommended strategies based on the analysis
Deliver a final report that describes methodology test results and recommendations
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Finance or related field
Technical hands-on experience in implementing Difference-in-Difference designs and analyzing micro-level (individual/transaction) panel data to estimate causal effects
Familiarity with nudging literature and recent green policy and trends especially for individual behavior
Good written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Stata SAS and Python
Competent in ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines / excellent organizational / time management skills
