Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic engineering team on a 12-month contract this role you will play an integral part in designing developing and maintaining scalable high-quality backend solutions. Youll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams contribute to core architecture decisions and help deliver solutions that drive our business success.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop test and maintain Java-based applications and services.
Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
Write clean readable maintainable and efficient code.
Participate in code reviews debugging troubleshooting and optimisation.
Collaborate with product owners UI/UX QA and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
Ensure systems are reliable performant and scalable.
Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8) and object-oriented design.
Experience with Spring / Spring Boot frameworks.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. SQL PostgreSQL MongoDB).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Understanding of software development best practices and SDLC.

Experience

5 years of professional Java development experience.
Proven ability to work in hybrid/remote and agile delivery environments.

Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills (verbal written).
Team player with strong collaboration capabilities.

Required Education:

Education & ExperienceBachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related 4 years of hands-on experience in React Native mobile proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) and with Redux Hooks React Navigation and mobile UI with RESTful APIs JSON and mobile app architecture with native build tools (Xcode Android Studio).
