Mid-Level Litigation Associate

This position presents a unique opportunity to help develop the Litigation Department for the premier firm in the growing cannabis psychedelics and emerging therapies industries. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues in a fast-paced environment collaborating with a team of dedicated legal professionals across the country.

The ideal Litigation Associate candidate will have at least 6 years of civil litigation experience preferably representing businesses and other corporate entities in state and federal courts arbitration and administrative appeals. Additionally experience with commercial litigation defense-side product liability litigation or California bar membership is a plus.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of cannabis law litigation matters including but not limited to contractual consumer protection product liability and intellectual property litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings motions briefs and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court appearances hearings mediations and arbitrations.
• Collaborate with partners associates and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on potential litigation risks and opportunities.
• Assist with business development initiatives including client outreach marketing efforts and networking events.
• Stay informed about developments in cannabis hemp and psychedelics law and proactively identify opportunities for professional growth and knowledge sharing within the firm.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the CO state bar and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of three years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to professionalism integrity and client service excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with business development activities and a demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships is a plus.
