The Opportunity
This Associate Brand Manager position works out of our Columbus Oh location in the Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands including Similac PediaSure Pedialyte Ensure and Glucerna to help them get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest lives.
The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for managing and implementing business strategies and tactics to effectively support delivery of business objectives including share growth net sales and profit margin for a leading brand in a complex category. Additional responsibilities include brand and market performance analysis reporting findings and actionable recommendations to senior leadership project management fiscal management and contingency planning.
What Youll Work On
Lead analysis and reporting of in market business performance vs. goals leveraging retail data services such as Nielsen
Evaluate in market performance of programs to ensure that they are delivering against expectations and business objectives
Collaborate Supply Chain to manage demand forecasting and inventory to ensure retail programs are adequately supported
Lead marketing peers finance and sales development to build weekly consumption reports and present to senior leadership
Identify opportunities and contingency plans to over deliver business commitments developing recommendations and aligning them through senior leadership
Collaborate with the design team to ensure innovations are supported by robust go to market plans
Accountability/Scope:
Product line dimensions and scope vary. Incumbent is accountable for developing and executing strategic and tactical objectives associated with driving product sales including P&L. Actions and decisions will directly affect attainment of brand financial goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in Marketing
2 years of progressively responsible Marketing product/brand management experience in either health care/OTC marketing or consumer packaged goods marketing
Strong analytical skills including business and fiscal management. Previous experience with business performance analysis and reporting preferred specifically leveraging Nielsen retail data
Resourceful marketer with the independence to find solutions to business problems and then act on them to drive results
Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly concisely and confidently interact directly with senior leadership to influence business strategy and investment decisions
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives. Willing to support others and share best-practices
Capable of successfully managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong knowledge of retail channels including Food Drug Mass Specialty and eCommerce
Demonstrated effective leadership competencies including leadership in project management
Capable of understanding complex category/marketplace including marketing to health care professionals
Advanced level PC skills to include Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and strategic focus of the position.
