DescriptionPosition Function
The Plant EHS & Sustainability Manager is responsible for leading all environmental health safety and sustainability programs within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures full compliance with safety and environmental regulations drives risk reduction and builds a proactive safety culture that aligns with the ASD Lean Operating System.This role will partner with operations maintenance and engineering leaders to embed safe work practices eliminate risk and drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance. This role is critical to achieving operational excellence by integrating EHS systems metrics and behaviors into daily plant management routines.

ResponsibilitiesRole and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include designing implementing and managing EHS policies procedures and programs in compliance with local state and federal regulations (OSHA EPA NFPA) as well as corporate standards.
- Success requires strong collaboration across all organizational levels and contractors to identify and implement effective EHS solutions.
- A deep understanding of regulatory requirements combined with exceptional communication leadership and teamwork skills is essential to fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the facility.

QualificationsQualifications
- 5 to 7 years safety and health experience in a manufacturing environment.
- This is a key position on our leadership team and a proven record of leadership abilities is strongly desired.
- Ability to provide first aid/triage administer drug tests and train first responders.
- Experience in conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent communication presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel HRIS and third party systems.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees and management.
- A thorough understanding of federal and state regulations including OSHA EPA and state and local regulatory requirements in the state of Ohio.
- Demonstrated experience investigating and managing injuries claims and procedure.
- Paramedic or nursing experience a plus.
Education
- BS in Health and Safety Environmental Engineering or related field is required.
