At Linklaters we are looking for a passionate curious and driven England & Wales or Common Law qualified Associate based in our Tokyo office to be a part of our E&I practice.
Key Responsibilities and skills:
- Drafting and reviewing finance documentation project risk analysis acquisition documents demonstrating familiarity with the latest trends precedents and market standards
- Conduct due diligence and research into relevant regulatory frameworks
- Providing sound commercial and legal advice to clients
- Networking with clients and other market players alike in order to capitalize on new business opportunities
- Contributing know-how and experience to the team
Key Requirements:
- 0.5 to 3.5 years experience (PQE0.5 to 3.5)
- Admitted in E&W or Common Law
- Excellent drafting and mastery of the fundamentals of contract and finance-related law
- Fluency in English
- Project finance experience and familiarity with market precedents (be it in APAC or Europe))
- Experience within a top tier firm would have an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- The will to approach every aspect of the role in an enthusiastic and proactive manner
- Be flexible and willing to take on different types of work / mandates
- Work well under pressure and be a proactive team player
