Job Summary

Description

Assists in educating the public and conducting public programs focusing on the Childrens Garden and operating the carousel. Works with Senior Naturalist and operational staff on visitor services and park maintenance. Position begins April/May and should conclude no longer than 6 months from start.


RATE OF PAY: $11 to $15 per hour commensurate with the employees experience.

HOURS: Up to 39 hours per week.


Requirements
  1. Conducts programs.
  2. Works with Senior Naturalist to provide visitor services.
  3. Performs maintenance of visitor areas.
  4. Opens and closes parks.
  5. Assists with special events.
  6. Performs related duties as apparent or assigned.


Must be able to work weekends and evenings as needed.


Must possess a valid Ohio drivers license. New employees must satisfactorily complete a background check. Lorain County Metropolitan Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who are tobacco users.
