There are two openings. One in Human Resources and one in the Office of School Safety. The positions are funded through June 30 2026.
Reviews documents for accessibility and updates to current accessibility best practices and standards and consults with supervisors when it may change content.
Ensures digital accessibility of internal and external websites.
Assists with website support across the Division to help with issues general maintenance and updates etc.
Provides support by reviewing editing and updating website content to meet current WCAG accessibility standards and accessibility best practices.
Manages manual testing of websites to identify and remediate pages content and features that fail to meet accessibility standards or best practices.
Directly implements edits to websites to achieve compliance with accessibility standards as defined by HB21-1110.
Collaborates with the Manager of Strategic Communications to consider the user interaction and ensure a positive user experience for all users of our websites; work with staff for internal and external website updates.
Assists or leads the effort for archiving documents and content that is no longer actively used or out of date including designated Google drives/folders.
Update designated Google Drive documents to be in template format.
Required Experience
Experience in website creation and maintenance AND experience in a role that included digital accessibility responsibilities.
