About the Position
Edmonds School District Principals develop and implement an effective learning program to improve student performance; continuously assess the learning program including the curriculum student performance outcomes and school climate; create a culturally responsive learning environment inclusive of diverse socioeconomicethnic and linguistic groups needs; create and implement development activities for the building staff; create a collaborative learning environment; provide instructional leadership; promote high expectations performance and achievement from students and staff; promote shared decision making and teamwork; maintain a positive school climate; establish and maintain effective communication with the community parents building staff and central office staff; supervise and evaluate assigned staff; manage the maintenance and use of the physical plant to facilitate the educational program; manage the budget activities for the building following District guidelines and procedures; and participate in District-level decision-making and articulation activities.

Cedar Way Elementary is located in Mountlake Terrace Washington and serves approximately 520 students in grades Way offers strong special education and multilingual services and programs.

This position begins the 2026-27school year. Start date is July 1 2026.

Required Qualifications:

1. Masters Degree
2. Valid Washington State Principals Credential for the elementary level or ability to obtain prior to start date
3. Previous school administrationand/or teaching experience at the elementarylevel
4. Knowledge and understanding of the use of an instructional framework to guide instructional practices including experience with Teacher/Principal Evaluation Program(TPEP)

2025-26 ElementaryPrincipalSalary: $183914to $196270per year depending on education credits (2026-27 salary schedule not yet finalized).

Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by employees who work at least 3.5 hours per day in a continuing position.
