Were seeking a Human Resources Directorto join our Human Resources department. This position requires strong leadership skills excellent communication skills analytical skills and strategic thinking.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus four years of human resources experience; OR

A bachelors degree plus four years of human resources experience; OR

An advanced degree in human resources business administration public administration industrial and organizational psychology organizational behavior or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of human resources experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

EXAMPLES BELOW ARE A BRIEF SAMPLE OF COMMON DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS JOB TITLE. NOT ALL POSSIBLE TASKS ARE INCLUDED.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support LHCs organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on federal and state employment laws and regulations ensuring LHCs compliance while minimizing risks.
  • Conduct regular audits to analyze the effectiveness of HR processes and implement improvements.
  • Direct and supervise HR staff including the HR Specialist and HR Analyst fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Stay informed on applicable Civil Service pay rules and job titles ensuring appropriate implementation for LHCs needs.
  • Act as liaison and point of contact for all ADA/Section 504-related communications for external stakeholders.
  • Investigate EEO issues performance concerns workplace harassment complaints and advise executive leadership on fair and consistent resolutions.
