Position Summary:

The Dedicated Fleet Supervisors position has been created to provide additional support for the Custom Dedicated operation as that business unit continues to experience significant growth.

The individual who fills this position will focus on all tasks or situations involving the Dedicated fleet of equipment in order to maximize vehicle up time and manage the costs related to the maintenance and repairs.

The responsibilities of the position include butarenot limited to:

  • Becoming familiar with the operation of each dedicate account in order to understand the vehicle duty cycle and availability. Use the tools at your disposal to manage the maintenance operation
  • Engaging with account managers to keep up-to-date with all equipment issues and to facilitate all needed maintenance and repairs. Coordinate and maintain parts/supply inventory at remote locations
  • Managing the vehicle maintenance related responsibilities of the dedicated fleet using vendor and in-house resources. Whenever possible maintenance and repairs are to be performed at Pyle owned facilities. Coordination of these repairs will need to be clearly communicated through the regional fleet maintenance managers or directly with shop lead personal
  • Developing relationships with dealers and vendors in Pyles operating area in order to obtain premium service. Verify that work proposed by vendor is necessary and review & approve costs. Also perform random inspections of work performed to ensure satisfactory workmanship
  • Learning and become an expert in using leading edge fleet maintenance management software system to support track and report on the effectiveness of the repairs and maintenance performed
  • Coordinating the rental of equipment needed for the Dedicated operation. Assist with the in-servicing and out-servicing processes of the equipment. Reconcile rental invoices for payment
  • Inspecting and evaluating customers current fleet to determine condition during acquisition process

To be qualified for this position you must possess the following:

  • High school DiplomaandIndustry Management Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Class 8 tractor trailer componentry specifications for various applications and comprehensive understanding of maintenance and repairs
  • Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word Excel Outlook)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be familiar with spreadsheets and basic statistics
  • Understand and support the step-by-step approach to training
  • Class A CDL a plus
