NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrated accuracy in maintaining record keeping and inventory control.
- Conduct physical interviews for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
- Maintains vehicles ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
- Possess or ability to obtain OSHA forklift certification.
The Warehouse Person receives stores issues and accounts for supplies and equipment received in the School District Warehouse and does related work as required. The Warehouse Person drives a truck in picking up and delivering supplies materials mail and/or food for all the buildings in the District. Completes work orders as assigned and will assist in transporting needed items and equipment for District events and functions. The Warehouse Person supports and provides coverage during the absence of the Warehouse Foreman.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Washington State Drivers License.
- Current CDL preferred but not required.
- Current forklift training certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of employment required.
- Applicant must provide a satisfactory 5-year driving abstract required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 pounds unassisted repeatedly.
- Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
- Work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work safely as a District-wide team.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to follow safe work practices andprocedures.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with a minimum of direct supervision.
- Skilled in maintaining accurate detailed records and inventory.
- Ability to meet deadlines plan and organize activities.
- Ability to organize and rate priorities and effectively schedule time.
- Ability to maintain tactful cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Knowledge and proven work record of good safety practices.
- Knowledge of methods and practices of handling supplies materials or food.
