For Linklaters Global Solutions Warsaw we are currently recruiting for the Revenue Controller with Mandarin.

About the team

Join our local team responsible for supporting our Asia offices in credit control and billing activities. Working closely with the Finance Billing Centre of Excellence (CoE) our team focuses on credit control processes reporting using the DTR (Desktop Reporting) tool as well as assisting with billing and e-billing for a broad range of client matters.

As Revenue Controller you will play a key role in managing receivables and supporting the end-to-end revenue process. This position primarily covers Credit Control (monitoring and following up on outstanding receivables preparing reports and narratives using DTR) and provides support in billing and e-billing in cooperation with the Finance Billing CoE. The role supports our offices in Asia and reports to the Revenue Team Leader located in Warsaw.

Work arrangements:

Hybrid model work: 2 days per week from the office located next to Rondo ONZ

Contract: Employment contract with 3- month probation period

Working hours: The core working hours are between 7 -15.15


As Revenue Controller you will be responsible for:

Cash collection and client accounts

  • Executing client specific cash collection processes including sending reminder letters and emails and following up on e-bills to ensure approval resolving any rejections in collaboration with the Billing Centre of Excellence and local Finance Team.

  • Managing the clients vendor onboarding process including completing required forms obtaining confirmation from matter teams that invoices have been sent and ensuring client contact details are accurately recorded.

  • Analysing client account balances monitoring bad debt provisions and exposure and preparing cash collection and ad hoc revenue reports including fee updates as required.

  • Preparing statements of account corresponding with clients regarding outstanding amounts and escalating issues to the local Finance Team and matter partner where necessary.

  • Investigating and resolving client issues including those related to billing and e-billing.

  • Obtaining partner approval for write offs of uncollectible balances and managing the write off process.

Stakeholder collaboration and governance

  • Working closely with local Finance Teams the Billing Centre of Excellence and other stakeholders and participating in regular process review meetings as needed.

  • Escalating issues and risks to the Revenue Team Leader Revenue Manager and local Finance Team.

Quality compliance and process improvement

  • Being responsible for assigned key performance indicators and performing quality control checks to ensure consistent quality of work.

  • Organising and maintaining accurate electronic filing and supporting documentation relating to work allocated to India.

  • Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with the Solicitors Accounting Rules and Corporate Criminal Offence requirements.

  • Contributing to the development of cash collection policies and process improvement initiatives.

  • Knowledge transfer and transition: participating in knowledge transfer activities to support process migration ensuring service quality remains high during transitions and maintaining comprehensive and up to date process documentation.

Apply if you:

  • Have 2 to 3 years of professional experience in customer service finance or administration team gained in professional services company

  • Are confident using both Mandarin & English at C1/C2 level to engage clearly and appropriately with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation. Knowledge of Cantonese would be an asset

  • Are customer focused and service oriented

  • Are well organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Have good Microsoft Excel skills (for example using formulas pivot tables and data analysis tools)

  • Are able to establish cooperative relationships with internal client groups asking questions to understand their needs checking understanding and retaining information to handle similar situations in the future

  • Have a higher education degree.
