Job Summary

Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Assistant Director of Transportation - Operations & Logistics to support the daily operations of the districts transportation department. This leadership role helps ensure safe efficient and reliable transportation services for all students.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily bus routes and ensure proper staffing
Assist with recruitment onboarding supervision and evaluation of bus drivers
Develop and adjust routes and schedules
Coordinate transportation for special services field trips athletics and events
Provide CDL training and support professional development
Respond to operational and safety concerns
Maintain compliance records and assist with departmental planning
Operate a bus as needed to address coverage gaps or emergencies

Qualifications

Valid CDL with required endorsements or ability to obtain CDL required
Leadership and supervisory experience required
Experience in school transportation or operations management preferred
Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to emergencies
