Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing food service to the residents of Cornerstone Management Communities in a positive and friendly manner. Services may include related services set-up and clean-up of dining room food preparation serving food and dishwashing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food prep portioning and plating meals according to menu and standards.
  • Support safe food handling practices including hygiene temperature control and food storage.
  • Set up dining room serve meals and ensure a clean welcoming dining experience for residents.
  • Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of dishware kitchen tools and dining areas.
  • Follow cleaning protocols and assist with waste disposal and recycling.
  • Communicate with residents and respond to dining requests with care and professionalism.
  • Support the mission and values of Cornerstone Management Communities.

Qualifications:

  • High School education/GED or previous work experience.
  • Experience in working with older adults.

  • Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly.
  • Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
  • Possess skills to communicate effectively with residents families staff and other customers.
  • Possess the ability to read write and comprehend simple instructions correspondence and documentation including medical terminology in English.
  • Be punctual with a good attendance record.
  • Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Understand how to use carry and be responsible for the cell phone while on duty.
