Job Summary

Overview

ADLs Institutional Giving team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from June 15 to August 7 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience with research data analysis and written communications as well as an interest in nonprofit fundraising and development; additionally the ideal candidate is a strong communicator interested in nonprofit management has leadership ambitions and desires to learn about strategic philanthropy. Our Institutional Giving internship provides the opportunity for students to gain practical experience with foundation research and donor prospecting grant pipeline analysis and management and developing fundraising strategies for donor engagement and reengagement.

Application portals will close at 3 PM ET on March 10 2026. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-April.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a list of lapsed foundation donors to identify their current priorities and consider reengagement
  • Learn about prospecting among new funders and develop a modest pipeline (5-10) for consideration
  • Analyze current foundation file with directors to identify renewal trends
  • Work with the director to create stages ie identification qualification and solicitation of lapsed and prospective foundations
  • Attend and participate in the ADL Summer Internship Learning Program sessions where you will get to have discussions with accomplished leaders and subject matter experts at ADL.

  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for non-profit work
  • Desire to start building career within non-profit sector

Compensation and Hours

  • This internship is paid $17.00/hr.
  • The internship is 15 hours per week.

Location

  • This internship will be hybrid with on-site presence required in New York City.

  • You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.
  • You will have practical hands-on experience with strategic philanthropy
  • Collaborate with meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.
