Position Overview
Seeking experienced Critical Care RNs for the Adult ED/ICU holding unit. Candidates must have strong ICU experience; ED experience is preferred. Previous Level I or Level II trauma center experience and EPIC experience are highly preferred.
Schedule Requirements
Night shift (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Every other weekend required
Some holidays required
Set schedules
Time off requests greater than 7 consecutive days will not be approved
Qualifications
Current New York State RN License (required)
BLS certification (must be current and maintain certification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level
ICU experience required
ED experience preferred
Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must not have had professional license/certification suspended or under investigation
Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Must pass pre-employment health clearance
Subject to drug screening and criminal background check
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-acuity nursing care in an ED/ICU holding environment
Perform comprehensive patient assessments in an acute care setting
Deliver the majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
