Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the accounting and financial reporting functions for GE Medical Systems Egypt LLC covering the North East Africa (NEA) region.
• Lead the monthly quarterly and annual close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Develop implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Oversee budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities collaborating with business leaders to establish targets and monitor performance against plans.
• Provide in-depth financial analysis including variance analysis profitability assessments and cash flow projections to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage external audits tax filings and relationships with regulatory bodies ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales Operations Supply Chain Tax) to provide financial expertise and support.
• Drive process improvements and leverage financial systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Prepare financial documentation for internal & external audits and manage closure of open issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA CMA) highly preferred.
• Experience in finance or accounting
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and local statutory accounting principles.
• Proven experience in managing financial operations for a multinational company preferably within the healthcare or medical devices industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems (e.g Oracle Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
