Job Summary
Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance. Claims processing (i.e. should we pay this claim) while often overlooked is the foundation of the entire industry. Its currently highly manual involving phone calls faxes and gut instinct costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.

Were looking for a Staff AI Engineer to help define and build the next generation of AI-powered systems at the core of our platform. Youll play a hands-on leadership rolearchitecting scalable solutions mentoring engineers and pushing the boundaries of whats possible with LLMs and modern development tools.

What Youll Do
Architect and deliver production-ready AI systems using TypeScript and
Lead by examplementor engineers while staying deeply technical and hands-on
Design scalable infrastructure for AI-driven applications
Develop and optimize APIs and services that leverage LLM capabilities
Collaborate with product and research teams to turn ideas into real-world impact
What You Bring
Proven experience delivering high-quality software and meaningful AI/LLM-driven products
Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern web development frameworks
Demonstrated success architecting and scaling AI systems in production
Strong background in API design and backend development (Python/Django/Flask a plus)
A track record of technical leadership and driving complex initiatives end-to-end
Experience with or similar LLM frameworks (preferred)
An entrepreneurial mindset and a bias toward shipping impactful work
