Scope
The Parent Relations Coordinator is a full-time 12-month position integral to the Christian Academy School System. This role exists to intentionally cultivate strong Christ-centered relationships with families ensuring parents experience the fullest benefits of being part of the Christian Academy community. The Parent Relations Coordinator serves as a primary point of connection for new and transitioning families welcoming them guiding them and helping them understand how to engage meaningfully in the Christian Academy experience. This includes supporting new families families transitioning between grade levels (Preschool to Kindergarten Elementary to Middle School Middle to High School) and families moving between Christian Academy campuses. This position requires a deep knowledge of Christian Academys mission and culture a proactive and service-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school leadership. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism warmth discernment and a servants heart; listening well anticipating needs and creatively responding to opportunities that strengthen parent engagement and community connection. (Note: This position requires travel between campuses and events.)
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith
- Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth morality and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate shall possess:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of demonstrated leadership hospitality or relationship-building experience
- Familiarity with Christian Academy its mission students and family experiences
- Strong analytical creative and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Google Suite and the ability to learn additional productivity tools
- Exceptional attention to detail strong listening skills and the ability to offer wise counsel aligned with the mission
- A passion for identifying and meeting the needs of families
- A professional demeanor that reflects the quality and character of Christian Academy
- Demonstrated initiative accountability Christian hospitality and a heart for service
- Effective public speaking facilitation and relationship-building skills
- A clear understanding of and commitment to the mission and vision of the Christian Academy School System
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
New Family Welcome & Assimilation
- Establish intentional personal connections with each new family through face-to-face meetings phone calls and written communication
- Design implement and continually refine programs that help families acclimate to Christian Academy
- Create a welcoming and supportive experience that reflects Christian Academys mission and values
Family Transition Support
- Assist current families as students transition between grade levels or campuses within the Christian Academy School System
- Serve as a consistent point of care and communication during times of transition
- Identify and address concerns that may hinder a familys sense of belonging or engagement
Parent Engagement & Community Building
- Plan coordinate and manage events that strengthen parent relationships and community connection including summer socials parent seminars and mid-year initiatives
- Develop train and oversee the Parent Ambassador Program across campuses
- Equip Parent Ambassadors to effectively welcome and support new families
Communication & Collaboration
- Collaborate with principals admissions staff and campus personnel to understand family needs and available resources
- Serve as a liaison between parents and school leadership when appropriate
- Take initiative to identify opportunities that enhance family engagement and strengthen community culture
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct annual parent surveys and gather ongoing feedback
- Analyze feedback and develop actionable strategies to improve the parent experience
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on family engagement data
Outcomes
- High participation and engagement in new family and parent-focused events
- A healthy active Parent Ambassador Program that supports new and transitioning families
- Increased family satisfaction and re-enrollment
- Clearly documented assimilation and engagement strategies informed by survey data
- Strong mission-aligned relationships between families and the Christian Academy School System
