Quality Assurance Tester

Position Summary:

The IT Quality Assurance Testeris responsible fordeveloping and executing a comprehensive QA strategy to ensure the quality and reliability ofnew technologysolutions. This role will define testing standards manage all QA processes and lead efforts toidentifyand document defects inconsistencies and performance issues. Acting as the sole QA lead the individual will collaborate with internal stakeholderspartnerwith vendors and champion best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for technology solutions.

• Define testing standards methodologies and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.

• Design document and execute test plans test cases and scripts for functional regression and performance testing.

Testing Execution

• Executetests toidentifybugs glitches and inconsistencies.

• Perform manual and automated testing tovalidatesystem functionality and stability.

• Conduct Regression testing to ensure that new features do not introduce new defects or disrupt existingfunctionality.

• Reportdefectsin DevOpsby documentingreproduction steps anddetailsfor effective resolution.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as the primary QA lead coordinating with developers business analysts and project managers.

• Partner with vendors tovalidatedeliverables and ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Communicate testing progress risks and results to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Collaboratewith business users during UATto ensure that the software aligns with user expectations and meets business requirements.

Change Management & Deployment Oversight

• Provide oversight of the change management process to ensure technology changes follow approved procedures and controls.

• Validate that all solutions are fully documented and included in deployment and release documentation prior to production release.

• Partner with project managers developers and business stakeholders to ensure change records release notes and deployment artifacts accurately reflect delivered functionality.

Process Improvement

• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance QA efficiency.

• Stay current on emerging QA tools techniques and best practices.

• Support change management initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5 years of experience in software quality assurance including test strategy development and execution.

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies tools and processes (manual and automated).

• Experience in vendor management and enterprise-level technology implementations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 15 pounds

Ability to sit for long periods of time (up to 3 hours at a time) during the scheduled workday
