Position Overview
A well-established healthcare system in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department for a dedicated weekend position. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast-paced high-acuity environment and is comfortable working variable and night shifts.
The Emergency Department RN will provide rapid assessment stabilization and treatment to patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid triage assessment and prioritization of emergency patients.
Administer medications IV therapy and emergency interventions.
Monitor patient status and respond quickly to clinical changes.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in trauma and critical situations.
Provide patient and family education during emergency care and discharge.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure adherence to safety infection control and quality protocols.
Compensation
Base Pay (Experienced & New Graduate RNs)
Paid-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) Option
PLB teammates are eligible for shift differentials and pay-for-performance awards but are not eligible for PTO accrual or participation in the benefit program.
