TITLE: FEDERAL PROGRAMS/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY:The Federal Programs/Professional Development Coordinator is a collaborative leader responsible for the oversight development and enhancement of the districts federal programs and professional development. This role involves contributing to instructional excellence through coordinating professional development and managing federal programs to best serve students and meet all state and federal requirements.
REPORTS TO: Executive Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises coordinates and evaluates Federal Programs.
- Chairs all federally required committees and follows the open meeting requirement including collaborating with nonpublic schools served by Yukon Public Schools.
- Chairs the District Professional Development Committee and serves on various district committees.
- Works with the Title site administrators/instructional specialists on monitoring the Title Programs.
- Coordinates organizes and provides professional development opportunities tools and resources for teachers and administrators on educational best practices
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in relation to school equipment and supplies for Federal Programs.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with co-workers.
- Accepts responsibility and arrives punctually for activities and duties as assigned.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the Career Tech team for Carl Perkins funds.
- Completes Oklahoma State Department reports as related to Federal programs.
- Completes reports accurately and meets deadlines.
- Abides by all district policies and state and federal laws.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Oklahoma Teaching Certificate
- 5 Years of successful leadership at the site or district level
- Masters Degree
- Demonstrated success implementing effective instructional strategies
- Experience with developing strong collaborative partnerships and building relationships with constituents both teachers/staff and the community
- Knowledgeable about the impact of the diversity of family economic linguistic and cultural experiences and backgrounds
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Will be required to regularly stand sit and walk for extended periods; estimated 70% sitting 15% standing and 15% walking
- Must regularly lift/move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move objects up to 25 pounds
- Flexible schedule as needed to accommodate before and after school meetings and activities on a regular basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents staff members and students from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- May experience constant interruptions inflexible deadlines and changes to normal routines.
- The ability to communicate with various groups of people is essential. This may include communication with parents teachers and administrators
- The ability to effectively balance time and effectiveness in an office environment a classroom environment and a collaborative leadership environment constitutes a major portion of this job
- Must have a valid drivers license a clean driving record and reliable transportation
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 220 day contract
- 1.150 ratio
