Job Description:
The Fundraising and Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting all administrative aspects of constituent engagement stewardship and revenue generating for all Development events and other school wide activities as requested. The Fundraising and Events Coordinator works closely with the Director of Development to foster lasting connections between the school and its parents promoting positive attitudes. The ideal candidate is an entry-level professional who is resourceful tech-savvy detail-oriented deadline driven personable and flexible. This position is a critical member of the Development Team and shares responsibility for building relationships with external and internal constituents and growing philanthropic support for Portledge School.Developing a keen understanding of Portledges history and traditions is essential. This is a temporary full-time position reporting to the Director of Development with of the anticipated timeline of the position being May 1 2026-October 152026
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of Development in planning coordination and execution of all Portledge School Development events including Founders Day shopping events and the annual auction.
Coordinate with Parents Association volunteers to support the Parents Association as needed.
Support all stewardship and cultivation events.
Assist with all administrative duties involved in regular Development strategies content vision and development of high-quality communications and solicitation materials to build awareness and generate philanthropic support for the Development office.
Implement and manage a robust calendar of Development activities events and communications for Portledge School donors.
Support any donor recognition efforts or initiatives.
Create and update any development event or initiative materials as assigned.
Assist the Director of Development in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Must have strong computer skills including experience with GoogleSuite Word Excel PowerPoint and fundraising software
Excellent sound judgment in decision making.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Possess a desire to learn new skills.
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Belief in the value of all types of diversity with a commitment to social justice and equity
Anti-racism/anti-bias training preferred
Flexible ability to work evenings and weekends regularly
