Location: Aldie VA 20105
Position Type: Contract School Year Assignment
Schedule: MondayFriday 9:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide 1:1 or small-group support to students who require assistance with daily living activities and classroom participation. The PCA will work collaboratively with teachers special education staff and related service providers to ensure student safety promote independence and support academic and social engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 personal care and classroom support for students with physical developmental or intellectual disabilities
Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) including mobility feeding toileting and hygiene as needed
Support students during classroom instruction transitions and school activities
Implement teacher-directed behavioral and instructional strategies
Monitor student safety and report concerns promptly to appropriate staff
Assist with positioning transfers and use of adaptive equipment when required
Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student observations
Collaborate with teachers therapists and school staff to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience supporting children or individuals with disabilities preferred
Strong communication patience and interpersonal skills
Ability to assist with lifting positioning and mobility support as needed
Ability to follow individualized care or behavior support plans
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a school-based or special education setting
CPR/First Aid certification
Training in behavior support or CPI
