Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Early Learning Program Coordinator temporary Grant-funded

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Early Learning Manager

FTE: 0.4688 (3.75 hours a day)

GENERAL DUTIES SUMMARY:

In coordination with the Early Learning Manager the Early Learning Program Coordinator will take lead responsibility for planning and hosting the districts Early Learning Family Fun Saturdays events as described in the Washington County 2025-27 Kindergarten Readiness Partnership and Innovation Program (KPI) 2-year Grant Program. The process includes coordinating outreach and recruitment efforts designing parent/child activities for ages 0-5 years and engaging with early learning partners and elementary schools to deliver Family Fun Saturday and other literacy nights events that support parent/child bonding promote early language and literacy provide skills for parents to support their childs language and literacy and provide skills for parents to support their childs social emotional development.

Alongside the Early Learning Manager the Early Learning Program Coordinator will work closely with Community Action Head Start NWRESD Early Childhood Special Education Services Latino Network IRCO and others and maintain regular communication with school Family Partnership Advocates. Other major duties will include supporting marketing and recruitment efforts for PreK & Kindergarten Sign-Up and other early learning outreach and communications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate districts Family Fun Saturday events including communicating with partners and parents. Similarly assist with elementary literacy nights events in support of inclusivity of families with children ages 0-5.
  • Work closely with Community Action Head Start NWRESD Early Childhood Special Education Services Latino Network IRCO and others and maintain regular communication with school Family Partnership Advocates.
  • Support marketing and recruitment efforts for PreK & Kindergarten sign-up.
  • Represent TTSD early learning interests in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather data for and assist in preparation of reports to Washington County for KPI-specific deliverables.
  • Collate information; produce reports and documents.
  • Understand and interpret a variety of types of information from qualitative and quantitative sources.
  • Support the TTSD early learning program by providing information monitoring tasks and organizing documentation.
  • Work with schools to collect survey information from parents and partners.
  • Communicate information to staff students parents community members in a positive and appropriate manner
  • Establish positive relationships and open channels of communication with a variety of early learning providers
  • Respect the confidentiality of administration staff students and organizations of the community
  • Other similar duties as needs arise

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • College degree or equivalent combination of coursework/work experience providing skills and competencies to perform the duties of the position
  • Previous experience performing duties involving multiple tasks and stakeholder relations
  • Skill in spreadsheet use
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing including with parents and members of the community
  • Ability to relate to and converse comfortably with a wide range of people
  • Oregon Drivers License or ability to get to and from work in a timely manner and perform the essential functions of the position
  • Accurate and appropriate business language oral and written skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations
  • Previous experience in early childhood field a plus
  • Spanish language ability a plus

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated by the supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is a position on the K range of the Classified Job Schedule. The assignment of the step will be in compliance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement and range of pay is located in the current Classified Salary Schedule.

A new employee shall be allowed up to four (4) years of experience on the salary schedule based on actual years of experience on a job of like responsibilites and skills. $27.32 per hour.
