In this dynamic hands-on leadership role youll oversee daily center operations recruit and develop talented consultants collaborate with faculty across the College and model exceptional 1:1 writing and AI literacy support. Youll use data to drive decisions launch impactful initiatives and help shape services that empower students to succeed in an evolving academic and technological landscape while working directly with students to make a measurable difference.

Position Summary:
CWIs Writing Center & AI Literacy Center is committed to making a positive impact in students lives and the Supervisor is a crucial member of the departments role in providing college-wide services in writing language and literacy acquisition and AI literacy advancement. Reporting to the department head this role serves a primary leadership responsibility in overseeing day-to-day operations of the Center and ensuring students receive high-quality support. The supervisor manages schedules coordinates all staffing coverage and plays a key role in recruiting hiring training and evaluating consultants. The supervisor also launches and supports projects and initiatives throughout the department ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
Additionally the Supervisor collaborates with faculty and staff across CWI to further the Centers mission and evolve our tandem with these management and leadership functions this role prioritizes student support directly by serving as a model consultant in supporting students directly through 1:1 sessions and workshops maximizing impact and striving for continuous improvement as an expert in consultation work.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in English Writing or related field OR associates degree in English Writing or related field with two years of experience directly in the writing center industry.
Two years of experience providing consulting teaching or tutoring support in writing or comparable contexts. (Note: the experience required for the associates degree may apply to this qualification.)
Two years of experience in a leadership role that involves supervising or managing a team as well as project management.
Completion of fundamental writing & AI literacy consultant training courses within one month of hire.
Superior communication and customer service skills in a diverse multicultural environment.
Proficient in digital literacy skills including word processing database and spreadsheet programs.
Maintains strong skills in organization accountability and adaptability.
Possesses an AI-inclusive mindset and a commitment to upskilling students in core AI competencies.
CRLA Level 1 certification (in hand or obtained within one year after hire date).
Ability to work 19.5 hours per week.
